One of the hubs of village life, the village hall plays regular host to plays, concerts, quiz nights and other cultural events as well as being available for meetings, parties, weddings and other events.  There are regular ballroom dancing classes, as well as meetings of local groups such as the garden club.

The Parish Council owns both the village hall and the playing field pavilion properties, though the Council has no direct day-to-day responsibility for them, being merely the public trustee. In both cases management committees are appointed to run, finance and maintain the properties. The management committees are independent of the Parish Council and are elected every year in September.

The Village Hall committee consists of five elected members and 12 members appointed from village clubs, societies and affiliated groups.
